Eating out is one of the delights of Singapore and a national preoccupation. Singaporean’s do it a lot and that’s not surprising as it is so cheap and good. Food in the supermarket seems relatively expensive. I have no trouble finding vegetarian food. There are food courts everywhere and the air is always full of cooking smells. The food courts seem to mostly follow a similar pattern but there is a huge variety of countries and types of food available.

$3 lunch of noodles and some sort of soy protein and vegetables, followed that night by a $2 plate of rice and tofu and vegetables. Thank god for the gym and pool.
