Growing and changing, Flynn that is

Time for a Flynn update. He it now 4 and a half weeks old and has changed such a lot in this first month. He has never really behaved much like the stereotypical newborn who is evidently meant to sleep 17 or 18 hours a day. Sleeping means missing out on lots and there's so much to learn when you start from scratch. He's still reluctant to sleep except in close contact with some other body.

He's an avid sucker and will latch on to anything handy.

My bicep was the favoured target for a while until I got self-conscious about sporting lovebites and put on protective clothing.
Grandma, what's this???

Me....what do you mean, bite you???? I wouldn't!

He will focus on black and white pictures and things for ages and make eye contact, poke out his tongue in response to someone doing it to him, and communicate across a wide range of vocal styles.

He enjoys walks around the pool...

But isn't so keen on shopping...yet...

He can hold up his head well and loves grandma dancing and singing to him. He knows all the Christmas carols by heart as well as the Teddy Bear's Picnic. What a star!
