April in England

They are saying that April is the new May, so good has the weather been. The bluebells are in full flower right now. This patch is in Holland Park, not far from where I live. Why wouldn't you have two Springs a year?Another week's pay in the bank but I've had a good time. The photos are of me and Anne Gillespie, an old friend from Nelson who has lived in England for the past few years with her husband Bruce. We catch up every year and this time they came into central London and I spent my afternoon time off with them doing the tourist thing.

And finished up in Trafalgar Square outside the National GalleryThe weather, as I keep saying, has been fantastic. In the mid-20s for several days and blue skies. Oh the excitement. Yesterday I had to spend my day off going up to Oxford to the agency. No hardship really. It takes about an hour and a half on the bus and you even see pretty things like these fields of rapeseed flowering.
Oxford was looking lovely too and I had a couple of hours wandering around there and did quite a bit more shopping than I meant to. Still lots that I haven't done yet. I haven't spent nearly enough time in the galleries for a start and many cousins still to catch up with.
