I've passed through Zurich lots of times, but always on the way from other countries to Basel and I've never had a look around. I spent a couple of days there this time and it's a lovely city, not surprisingly. Most of Switzerland is beautiful.
I got a Basel card which got me into the museums and galleries and also on the river cruise and lake cruise. The lake cruise left about 9.30am and the light was lovely.
Stark contrast between a Swiss protestant church and a Roman Catholic one. In Italy it is much more lavish again.
