Daisy, Zach and Bastie have a weekly session with a swimming coach and over the holidays Bastie has group instruction a couple of times a week. The pools in the neighbourhood are lovely.
Andy works in a large blue-tinted glass globe that holds the very piano that Justin Bieber played at his Dubai concert (that the kids attended). They were happy to get to play it themselves.

It was Wimbledon while I was there. Go Andy Murray. Rebecca organised tea in front of the final (it was 5pm in Dubai) - cucumber sandwiches and strawberries. I went from playing cards constantly in Basel to playing even more cards in Dubai. My grandchildren all seem to be card sharks. Daisy even willed herself to get up before my 6am taxi to the airport for a final couple of games. It was lovely to have her happy face to wave me goodbye though, knowing that they will all be in Basel in a couple of weeks.
