Monday was a public holiday here and Blake took me to see the villages along the French border, with a view to me finding somewhere to live later in the year. He decided to head off further into France and wanted to check out the Alsace wine trail which is 170km long, the closest part of it being about an hour's drive away. We went to the village of Kaysersberg, which was gorgeous.
We walked up to see the remains of a 12th century fort and get views of the town and beautiful vineyard covered hills
Now they want to see the other 169km and Blake is plotting to return for a few days with bikes and the chariot. There were a lot of people on bikes doing the trail, although DIC of a bike is an offence.
