No rest (and none wanted) for this grandma. Here I am back in Dubai...but things have changed. New house and it's been...cool. Really. I had long sleeves and jeans on for a few days. It's hot again now though. The new house is lovely. It's big and looking really good and has a huge garden. This house is close to the local mall, which means I can walk there and then even get on a bus now and go further afield. The kids scooted to the shops at the weekend, well Daisy did and Zach got a tow.
Daisy is at school 5 days a week and loving it. Zach is at playgroup 2 mornings.
The school has themed days from time to time and Daisy has costumes for every occasion. Tuesday is generally Dubai Mall morning, where Bec meets a friend for coffee and Zach gets to see the fish in the aquarium and boats on the lake. It's by the tallest building in the world and it's so tall I couldn't get it all in one photo.
This building is spectacular and the surroundings beautiful. At the weekend we went out for lunch at Jumeira, on the coast, and wandered along The Walk, where there are lots of restaurants. The architecture there isn't so appealing - 40 identical tower blocks (each about 40 stories tall) stretching along the beach. The beach was nice though and the temperature perfect.
The handbag is hiding the fact that Bec is about to produce my fourth grandchild. Tomorrow is Big Day Out and we are all very excited. Blogs will follow!
